Longtime resident of Dash Point, Jerry Barrett, passed away on October 5, 2021, with his daughters, Christine (Deming) and Lorelle (Leacy) by his side. Jerry lived in Dash Point as a youth and moved back with his wife, Jackie, around 1956 and lived there until 2019, when he moved to Bremerton to live with Lorelle and her husband.
Jerry and Jackie were active members of the Dash Point community. They participated in the Dash Point Dock Dinners, the Community Club, Dash Point Centennial, scholarship, and on the board. Jerry was instrumental on getting the flag pole, helped with the Dash Point Dash and the loved working on the Christmas tree.
In memory of Jerry and Jackie Barrett a bench and plaque is planned to be placed where they enjoyed sitting at the park.
